- New York Times Book Review--The site includes the daily contents of the newspaper, up-to-the-minute breaking news, weekly features and original reporting. Along with a search index of reviews going back to 1980, it contains gems such as RealAudio recordings of Vladimir Nabakov reading from his novels. (Requires a free, one-time registration.)
- The New York Review of Books--This estimable chronicle has gone online with a weekly selection from its print offerings. Audio readings by esteemed authors Robert Silvers, Jason Epstein, Susan Sontag, Jonathan Miller, Darryl Pinckney, Joan Didion, Alma Guillermoprieto, James Fenton, and Elizabeth Hardwick are also available.
